She made it just fine… the jig double hooked her so she was bleeding a little but she swam off no problems. Switched to a barbless single hook jig once we knew they were all reds.
If DNR gets your picture maybe they will bump up the slot range ?

Out in federal waters you cant keep any of them… but they sure are fun to catch
A testament to a what can happen with 27 years of protection in federal waters and 23 years of prudent management in state waters. In the old days they would have been surrounded with a purse seine and sold for $0.90 a lb for blackened redfish or fertilizer.
