Saw these attached to a floater in a salt/brackish creek, a raccoon looks to have been fishing them out and eating them. @barbawang or @EF1 ?
Tunicates, you might know them as sea squirts?
They’re our closest invertebrate relatives, and some folks around the world do eat them, not just trash pandas
