Decided to head to the wando today. Caught 4 trout on topwater & one on finger mullet. Hooked a nice red on top but pulled loose after a long fun fight. Went to a spot I used to fish 20 years ago & anchored up with some perfect size finger mullet. Ended up with 4 great redfish & couple of rays before the storm ran me off. Forgot to put all my Scotty rod holders back in the boat & only had two. Of course while I’m trying to steer a good red out of the grass another rod goes off & slams out of the boat before I could get my hand on it, pretending it was just another ray. A good reminder. I’ll definitely bring my Bimini top next trip as well. Oh and one of the reds was tagged! Great day off!
