180 ft and 72 degrees at the 100/400 line. Bite came on a Blk/Prpl BLUEWATER CANDY JAG with Mylar. Find the Blackfins and the big Hoos are with them. He didnt get that big chasing minnows. Get up with me prior to the tourney and we’ll talk more if you like.

5 knots
sweet fish guys
when i lived in fla. a few years back
fresh water fishing in the everglades
dnr told us that one meal a week was considered
safe consumption due to burning off sugar crops
and mercury levels
down there a lot of people eat it every day
due to poverty
i dont recall a vast number of mercury related deaths or illness
Congrats Jeff. You trying to run us out of your HOO tourney. That is one heck of a fish.
…well i would like to have some of that mercury:stuck_out_tongue:!!!great catch!!

Mercury doesn’t so much kill you as make you STOOPID.
Nice fish. Saw you guys and hear the radio chatter Wed. Planned on keeping a flat line out Thurs, but mother nature had other plans. Bottom fishing still sucks.
Nice fish! How was the fight compared to this 45 pounder. And yes, I’ll vouch for your being a big’o’boy.
I’d rather fish than eat.

Keywest…thats a STUD!!
Thanks, but its been a few years since we landed a big one. We caught a couple decent sized last year. This should be a better year, bought a bigger boat, 2800WA Hydra-Sport Vector w/twin yam F225’s. this one has nearly a 300 gal tank for a bit further running capability.
Hopefully this machine will assist us in raising some beasties from the depths …
