gotcha plus one plus a bushel of oysters…

The Morris Island Lighthouse www.savethelight.org

there are a good many picnic tables there but we are NOT to eat oysters on them unless we line them with plastic…we can move them around to be in the sun or to be closer to the fireplace…bring your own chair if you like…this place is pretty wide open and lots of room…

I have 2 plastic tablecloths to donate.

Anyone have a roll of plastic and a staple gun:question: Easy fix:wink:

I have some clear and some black rolls of vapor barrier thick plastic sheeting we can cut to size. There’s plenty enough to do all the tables needed.

I also have a staple gun.

If we use staples, I volunteer Easy to bring a pair of needle nose pliers and remove them afterward.

Hey y’all, guess what time it is? Yep, time to start planning our next big event. The Pickett brothers have once again agreed to cover the cost for the shelter and Paul has agreed to $25 per bushel for local clusters for this event.
The Charleston Boat Show is Jan 24-26 and the Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall in Sunday Jan 26. In the last few years we have done this oyster roast in conjunction with the boat show so out of towners can get the most out of their weekend.
This is YOUR oyster roast. This is for ALL members of CharlestonFishing.com, their husbands, wives, girlfriends or mistresses (but not all three please!), kids and dogs. If you are a lurker or new member I highly recommend coming out and meeting some of the snapperheads that make this place what it is.
I have a reservation on the Wappoo Shelter at the James Island County Park for Sat Jan 25 9:00AM - 4:30PM. Unless somebody comes up with a heck of an excuse we’ll keep it this date and run with it. Cooking starts early and the oysters usually come out around noon. Come early and stay late. We do have an alcohol permit so BYO beer and wine is permitted (no liquor please).
There is no charge for this event and all food and drink is provided by YOU. We’ll make a sticky soon and people can start vouching for oysters and other food and necessities. Only cost is $1 per person to enter the park itself. Let’s do this!

Why no liquor? Sounds like this will be another great time. I get to attend a 2 couple baby shower that afternoon. Yay!
