Short trip today with great results! MJ has been asking to go fishing for a month. Last time we tried, the battery was dead. We got on the water about an hour before low tide. Caught a handful of bigger mullet for cutbait. After an hour of striking out, we moved up river and landed a couple of monsters. MJ reeled them both in. I had to hold the rod for the cat. That thing was heavy! Wish I had a way to weight it.

Spoiler alert they sell scales after getting one it helps document all the big fish that my youngen and her friends and guests catch so that when we say they were that big we have pictures to prove it they’re very inexpensive as well Amazon can buy you just about anything not sure if it can help you buy new wife if you want one but I’m sure in 5 years Amazon Prime will be there to help

Had to be at least 30. Thought we snagged a log until it started fighting.
I never bought a scale, I measure the fish length for bragging rights. I will probably get one just to keep handy for days like that.
