But managed to get 2 to the boat. Not only was finding bait super tough, when we found em it was mostly jellyfish… yuck the fishing wasnt any better, the funky up n down wster temps had the bite so weird it was not easy getting the cicrly hooks in today. We missed at least 4 bite because they were just picking up bait and easing away with it and not committing. The 2 I got to the boat, i slow dragged sideways like and lucked up with a hookset… thats the story I’m tellin anyways
Water was 54-56 today. Sun is out and its almost hot not. Fun is done, time to get back to work now

are you just live bait fishing mostly?
Thanks! I go 70/30 or so live over lures these days Id say
Thats better than sitting at a desk! Youll get’em next time!
I know how you feel
Didn’t get a bite until I was ready to leave
Left as soon as I got a couple to fry.

I missed this whole thread, dammit
Sman knows his way around a jackfish
I’m going tomorrow
Same here, sorry I missed it.
I can testify that Stump is in the same category as @Optiker ,er pretty close, although I know his humble self would dispute this.
That said, jackfish, pickerel, along with perch, redfins, Eisenhowers, whatever one prefers to name them are some of the best eating fish out there, IMHO.
