The family and the kids friends and I are headed to edisto to bask in Gods great sunshine while listening to waves and sea gulls for a few days. Of course I will be bringing my surf rods. I’ve only been there to golf. Any recommendations on a good seafood restaurant one evening? Anything cool to see that I wouldn’t normally know about?
Do you like snakes?
The serpantariun is good for kids of all ages.
ACE basin info center, by the state park boat launch.
The oyster mound, or what’s left of it.
Bottany Bay for a day is a must. They have a kids pond that’s catch and release that holds some amazing fish. Jayson’s I think was the name, salt on one side and fresh on the other.
Best bike paths ever, do the loops on the island and park
Rent a golf cart. Thank me later
Front beach, fish the groins.
Walk north from the park to Jeremy inlet to actually catch fish.
There’s so much more, just ask

Whaley’s (great food and atmosphere)
High Tides (great food with water view)
Pro’s and Con’s (higher end but excellent)
Botney Bay is great, plan around low tide to walk the beach.
Jason’s lake is awesome for the kids, like shooting fish in a barrel! Read the rules though.
I would go fishing with Captain Buddy
Had lunch at Sea Cow with no complaints

Just remember when you’re going down that long dirt road
There’s not a 50yd stretch where ole sman hasn’t slung buckshot.
I’ve drank from the beehive well, shot a nice irregular 9, strolled the trees in the sand, dug clams on the backside, and even got “lucky” on the porch of the caretakers house once. It’s full of park volunteers now.
Yeah, those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end…seems like just the other day
