i took my panga to bimini in january, its some different type of fishing over there. they have some crazy lookin high speed lures, most people would never think about using them around here. we ended up with one 30#. dolphin and tons and tons of cuda. they love to eat cudas over there. few lobsters and bottom dwellers. but it was fun!!

Just got back Tuesday from a week in the Abacos/Bahamas. I want to first thank Capt. Dick Vance for the use of the HOT SHOT while there. Now for the fishing; The wind howled the entire trip (I was informed, this is not unusual for March)… We fished 1 1/2 days out of 7 offshore. We had 1 Blue in the baits but did not hook up. Caught 6 dolphin, 2 tuna, 2 wahoo, 1 baracuda and a mackeral(with Captain Howard Moseley at the helm in me in the cockpit, I am still perplexed as to how we missed that blue) . I did get to fill both of my igloos. The fish are there, Eddie from the Sea Fox raised 3 blues on the day we arrived released 1 for 3 and got some nice dolphin to #40. We fished inshore while going Cay to Cay and caught grouper, yellowtail and snapper. It was a great time, highly recommended. My wife and I unfortunately were forced to leave Charleston a couple of years ago so it was great to see all the people representing Charleston there in the Abacos. I will not even start about the extra curricular activities because like Vegas, what happens in the Abacos, stays in the Abacos. Hope everyone does well this year and I look forward to moving back to Charleston someday.
