$140 to $179 this week on the heels of earnings and the Fed rate cut. I hold GS in my real account and still believe these are the smartest guys in the room. At least I got one call right for this week!:stuck_out_tongue:

Watch Thornburg Mortgage (TMA) next week. Down big today and still looking for some financial backing. If they get it they will be off to the races.

Since when has borrowing short to lend long ever worked?

I guess it’s a good thing the Fed decided to open up the window to investment banks. Poor old LEH, GS, andh MER just skimmed off $28 BILLION.

Wait a second, maybe they had to fuel the Gulfstreams for Easter travels in case something happened over the long weekend?

PS—now with the short term 13-week Treasuries yields at historic fifty year lows, the carry trade with Japan is now NEGATIVE.

Me too…I chickened out about mid-day and hit the enter button to sell three times when I wish I had not.

Fritz, you and calm had good days with your financial-heavy portfolios. Me, well, I am still in hock to the VSE man and he ain’t letting me play with his money any more…
