beginner fly combo

I want to say that in the few years I have been visiting this site, there have been times when the comments and advice handed out have included four letter words I wouldn’t use in front of my 4 yr old and some other explitives and exchanges that made me not want to re-visit. BUT! Good on All you guys out there. When you see people actually take the time to be people, it gives you that funny fuzzy feeling. I started out with hand-me-down stuff and yard sale finds, and after working my tail off for 15 years I can actually afford a few nicer toys. there are great people on this website!! I see big fish in some peoples future. Yakman, you are lucky young man and I think everybody on this site remembers the enthusiasm that you show for the sport and maybe some of us have lost touch with that. Sometimes it only takes one person, or one comment to rekindle that flame.

If you don;t have 8wt lie already I think I have an extra Cortland Redfish line I can donate to the cause. I can also show you how to tie up your own leaders and tippets. Easy peasy. Lemme know if ya still need anything, I also have a buddy in the upstate that is willing to throw in a donation to get ya goin and fishin.

I’ll donate some flies…trying to get down to the oyster roast, could leave you a few in a box somewhere.

Yakman, go see Scottyd at his shop. He has presents for you!

For an inexpensive reel try this one. Okuma Cascade 7/9 Fly Reel it has recieved some good reviews and is only $30 new

The worst day of fishing is still better than the best day at work

I think stretch owns an Okuma Cascade (I know its an Okuma), and if I am correct he is satisfied

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the worm.
