What kind of drag pressure are you seeing out of yours?
When you say update, do you mean replace with a better one or did you have problems they took care of under warranty?

I only have 60lb braid on mine on a 200g spinal jigging rod and use it for jigging. It feels like a Talica 10 to me- that’s been on a diet and is made of better stuff, of course. Have not ever tried it for heavy bottom fishing.

I take big gags consistently on my big spinning reels. I rarely loose one on my penn 950s on the ledge over very gnarly rocks.

levelwind is very nice bottom fishing.

A 40 lb aj broke the pins holding the reel together on my penn 320 gti I will never buy another.

Phin knows his stuff. Alway great advice.

I haven’t measured the drag on a scale, but I’d guess the reel is pushing 20ish lbs pretty easily. Much more than that and I’d rather be on a star drag reel.
1 of them had an issue that was taken care of under warranty (I bought it NOS, it was a gen1). No problems since then with either reel.
They hold quite a bit of line and are incredibly light. I’ve got them mounted on Shimano Trevala XH’s.

We use TLD 15’s for the routine bottom critters with chicken rigs. Penn 6/0 on a live bait rod for grouper and snapper when in season.
