I’ve made a few trips in Chaulks Air. They went out of business shortly after the Angler burned. The owner’s name was Julian, he died in the fire while rescuing guests.

Ginger bread grounds good for snorkeling or spearing, especially if you are passing on to Berry’s or outer islands. Not a lot out there. reefs 10 ft to 50ft. good family snorkeling there too. real nice. get local dive/fish chart for Ginger bread. In front of Bimini (northwest corner) an updated GPS map will show “Marlin Grounds” or something similar just off the beach in 800 ft. we trolled there with success. Also, apparently there is good bottom fishing on the 200 ft ledge 50 yds off the beach, would be worth a shot and you’ll see the other boats lined on reefs. Check out the ship wreck between north and south bimini.
Does anyone remember Mr Browns marina ( think that was his name ). We stayed there several times back in the 70’s. Think I heard that Mr Brown had passed away several years ago , but always was fun times there.

Harcourt Brown owned the marina and facilities there. Neville Brown ran the bar. I think the Brown family owned the Complete Angler also. It’s been awhile so I may need to be corrected. I spent a lot of time there in the 70’s and early 80’s but haven’t been there since.
Very good info…so you would not want to bring back cleaned fish if our rules apply upon return right ?
I thought you could clean fish as long as you keep the carcus and all the pieces match up. What is the rule on that?
I answered that on page 1.
skinney: I'm sure you answered on page 1. I read through your posts and can't find it. I'm talking about rules in our own waters for filets/carcas. I saw your post about filets/bahamas. Thanks.
I like to do this because the filets keep better on ice in a seperate cooler. The rest of the fish doesn't have to be handled as carefully then.
