Bogging out 2018 Tohatsu 50HP tiller

I have a 2018 Tohatsu 50hp 4 stroke that has been running fine until recently. I turn it on and my handle is shaking badly. I go to throttle up and it will “bog” out like it has no power to get on plane. Runs about 10 mph full throttle. I let it sit then sounds like it will turn off. I turn it off and turn back on and sounds and feels fine. Will run fine for about a minute or two then sound like it is running out of gas. I replaced spark plugs, cleaned out tank with new gas and put new fuel line on it. I am sending to my mechanic to get it fixed but was thinking what yall may think it would be. Thanks

Yeah
Welcome to the club
Next time it bogs out
Start pumping the bulb and see if it clears up
Then change out the fuel pump
Very easy to do
This happened to me as they used to say in the old Outdoor Life magazine

It’s probably gonna be one of the two fuel pumps. There’s a low pressure fuel pump and a high pressure fuel pump. The tech should be able to diagnose which one. If these pumps are fine I would ask to swap out the ECU as a test before troubleshooting any further. I hope it’s something simple

I have the same motor. It ran fine for several years then all of a sudden it wouldn’t start when it got hot (187F). Eventually it started acting like what you described. Root cause was the ECU. It’s easy to swap out but it’s expensive $1500.
