BRAINSTORM

I was looking at pictures on Charlestondiving last week and saw these and it made me crack up.

They are from several years ago. I remember getting into it with Greg all the time and making fun of him when these photos surfaced…good times indeed.

hey kt, i think i remember that you are a navy seal or something. if so i don’t want you on my bad side. if you live near mt p you can meet me at the boat in 40 minutes and have a filet. you would be the 37th person to feast off of our bounty in the past two days.

if i’m mistaken and you aren’t a seal, then move along and go about your business…

He is a SEAL but he’s also a big teddy bear that cries when he watches Lassie. haha

Somebody take the guy fishing this week…dude is leaving for dirka-dirka stan on the 25th for a month of cowboy’s & indians w/ the Taliban.

Nice day on the water man, i’ll bet those filets are all gone by now.

Nice work D. Thanks for the heads up yesterday. I was tied up with something else or I would have stopped by. The hot breakfast must be chewed up pretty good from all of those blackfish.

Not to gripe, I just see too often a boat come back with a crapload of fish, and really wonder if it all goes to use, or they think it makes a cool picture, then just goes bad in someones freezer…and if you read about how much the fisheries not just here, but all over are so rapidly decreasing, it just makes me wonder…guess Im getting soft in my old age and truly beleive in conservation, and the sport of the game…when we take our boat out with say 5 guys, we will tend to keep on to two fish a person, which is plenty of meat…just my opinion, guess thats what this here site is for, but I’m just waiting for some smartass comments, so fire away…

Did you even ask how many people were on the boat?

Also, I should point out that South Carolina is responsible for only about 1% of the total recreational killed dolphin each year. As good as our fishery is, we hardly see the masses of them.

kt, guess i am in a different situation than you. i usually take 7 or 8 people with me. i also have more than a couple of friends that crave fresh fish. they are always invited to be waiting on us at the dock. it is nice to have a few extra hands around to clean up and such. i am happy for them to enjoy the fresh fish. i can honestly say that of the 50 or so tunas that I have caught this season, not a single one has been wasted, nor has a single filet been frozen. blackfin don’t have the yield of a yellowfin also. the dolphins do get frozen from time to time. not by me, but generally by my friends from out of town. i also have parties at my place pretty much every week with 20 friends give or take. you go through a decent amount of fish when you cook for 20 and serve about 10 pounds of sashimi as an appetizer. then most everyone leaves with a few filets for lunch or dinner the next night.

i guess that is what friends are for… folks help me out all the time and if a little tuna or dolphin meat makes them and their family happy that is just great by me.

sorry you didn’t meet me at the dock. i am eating the balance of what i didn’t give away at a friends place downtown, so there isn’t any left. if you really are going away to the desert and want to fish, shoot me your cell number. i appreciate what you do for us.

anyways, a lot of talk about my personal fish consumption… pretty boring stuff. it was fun to write down a list of who i shared the catch with, though. the final number was 71 people, probably 2 to 3x that if they have a friend or two over for dinner. 34 grown fish do make quite a few meals.

and btw, we did release three grown tunas and several grown mauis. not intentionally. conservation none the less.

I was gonna let this one go but just couldn’t , when you are suckin my air with your tree hugger comments. Why don’t you tell these boys all about the expensive cool guy toys you seal boys been playin with for years. i saw one in miami the other day had a blacked out jet ski hangin off the back man it was cool. Bet that thing sucks up some gas chasin bad guys. You been playin for free for too long to make comments like the one you made. Its expensive to get out there to catch a few fish by my count about $300 / LB for the fish i catch. Sc fish is obviously the best around at those prices. I’m keepin what i legally catch. The man isn’t gonna waste his catch but you sir have wasted my time.
Don’t get me wrong man cause I’ve Been there and done that and i luv ya man , be safe. Just because you are different doesn’t mean i hate you any less!

I understand and agree with most of your statement execept for the one above. I should probably stay out of this one because I was too much of a baby to ever join the service, but I would think that putting your life on the line in the mountains of afghanistan for 2 years would not be considered “playing for free”, especially when i know that some of his friends did not make it back.

my favortie pic of KT.

God bless you Sea Gull - glad you made it home safe!

HDGB…Your stupid babble didnt seem to amaze me what-so-ever…after all this is a discussion forum, and every forum has to have the “Local Idiot”, right?? I have to give you credit…yes, we SEALs do get to play with expensive toys, and yes, we spend ALOT of taxpayer money…but We actually go to war cause We want to, We love it, and We love our country, and have dedicated ourselves selfishly to be the best warriors on the planet…Would you rather see your money going into some little Sally who just enlisted cause they want to be the first in their family to get a college degree, and who can’t even hit the broad side of a tank with a ****ing machine gun??? Do me a favor, when you meet a SEAL, just say thanks, buy me a beer, and shoot the crap for a while… thats all…and step aside, we will do the fighting. Ohh, and remember a-hole, we are all on the same team…but you had to run your mouth, so I’m going to tell these people how it really is…your probably just a jealous BUD/s washout anyways…boo-freaking hoo, quit your crying, not my fault your a quitter… Just because you probably couldnt hold a SEALs jockstrap, doesn’t mean you have to cry about it here on a fishing forum ****bag. Jealousy is such a funny thing…And pay ??/ Pay for what?? Tell that to my fellow SEAL team mates who willingly, and selfishly, gave their lives defending our country, and demonstrating thier fighting spirit couragesly day in and day out…tell that to my ex-wife who I divorced cause I was more commited to my line of work than her…Remember, its tree hugginh hippies like me that make it possible for whiney, quitters like you to run your mouth freely on a site like this…The funny thing is you don’t even know me to make such comments, so, I will respond in an equal fashion…you want to know who I am…a little about me, and us SEALs who waste your money, and waste breathing “your air”…moron…

You see, in times of war or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A c

Fair enough HDGB, your email didn’t come off as a goat and because i’m KTs friend i’m sure you understand me questioning that statement. God bless you too for protecting this country for those 24 years.

Ps, sorry to derail your thread Brainstorm - once again, nice catch!
