Yes, the butterfly peacocks were fairly abundant in that 8 - 10 pound range and that is what was kept for eating. The larger, regular peacocks in my pics are in the 15# range. The largest caught in our group was 18#. World record then (assume it is same) is 25#. The big guys do not come as easily, those 3 were all I caught in that category in 5 full days of fishing, 450 miles round trip on the Rio Negro.
