Early 80’s hydro sports 24’ with twin 175 2strokes, 96/97. Floated up from FL. Owner bought boat for less than it would cost to recover. First trip out and cause was unknown.

I’m going to sell the boat and buy you a white and blue marlin mount for your Moncks Corner mansion.

This was on the weedline 2 weeks ago. On the run in The coastguard came on the vhf and put out a mariner watch out for a capsized center console off Jeckell Island, GA. Could be that boat

The fish you caught taste better than the fish you bought!!
If the CG got up to it to Mark it, why wouldn’t they sink it?!?!?! If nobody has claimed it, and they left it that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. I’m pretty sure the claimant would win!

Better question: How many 'phins did you pull out from under it
2000 SeaPro 180CC w/ Yammy 115 2 stroke
1966 13’ Boston Whaler w/ Merc 25 4 stroke “Flatty”

In ‘07 we found a 35’ish aluminum gofast floating bow up, probably 10-15’ straight out of the water. It had USCG OK spraypainted on it. It also had hundreds of .50cal holes in it. One would surmise that the CG would at least make sure the boat sinks if they decide to use it for target practice…
Good news was we caught a pair of blues off of it. Bad news was about an hour later we had to have a CG chopper and cutter assist us with our own sinking vessel that was full of yankee charter clients that had never been on the ocean before. The sea can be a reely fun place.
TowBoat US Charleston has recovered this vessel. It was a 25’ Hydro Sports WA Cuddy and the owner bought it the day before it sank. It came up from Florida and ended its voyage on the sand bars of the Stono Inlet. It is now on a trailer and no longer a hazard to navigation.
