I’ve fished both and for the ride I really like the Catamaran. You go into a big wave expecting a jar and nothing… smooth just some “sneezing” on the bigger waves.
They take some getting used to, if your trolling in heavy seas the first thing I wanted to do was steer to correct… don’t just keep the nose pointed straight. It also feels odd in a hard turn until you get used to it. But on moderately choppy seas you can’t beat them bottom fishing not getting beat up. Much easier on the back and calves. IMO.
I didn’t like trailering it in heavy current, but got better at it.
They’ll take some pretty rough water.

I’ve pretty much decided to go with the world cat 246 or 266. I might have to buy a cheaper boat and re-power/refurbish it to get what I want. I’m going to go look at a 246 that needs a re-power tomorrow. I haven’t put my hands on one yet, so we will see when I get there.
I like the 266, but it seems bigger than I need. That 246 would look good with a couple new yamaha or mercury 4 stroke 150’s hanging on the back.

Has anyone ever ridden on or know anything about this boat?

You should buy that, then we should be good friends!!
That thing is nice, but I would have done a couple of things differently on that boat. I hate that interior color…what’s that about?

Otherwise, my tight side likes the 25 sea cat for the price. The Aussie cat is a good deal too. The thing I've found on used cats is fuel tank problems with some models. The Kevlacat required the floor being cut out to replace the tanks. Boats...

There are many many boats built like that. Not just cats.

How about the Calcutta 263? That thing looks awesome, but I can only find them new. It seems that the owners are not reselling them so much.
