I started to do a @Bolbie memorandum thread, but I can’t find a single thing nice he’s said or done to include in it.
It’s just so sad to see folks like him act this way in light of recent events.

yes he did say that, but context matters. He is not critiquing racial inequality, but some of the bureaucratic consequences that came way later. he also said later that he agreed with the idea of the civil rights movement, but disagreed with how it was done. when you take one sentence of what someone says and not know the context it get’s DANGEROUS! He was consistent in his world view of individual freedom, human dignity, and not being judged by the color of your skin. He used statistical facts and scripture to form and back up his view. He also said, when the talking/debating stops, people get hurt. Boy was he right about that one.
