Good to see you on here! Didn’t know you lived in our fine state.
To the OP, you made your wishes known from the start…your primary focus was to get some bottomfish to fry up. The moment the captain knew he had a sonar problem, he should have told you about it. It’s not impossible to fish with a broken bottom machine, but it makes it very hard. At that point the option to reschedule should have been discussed.
Ditto on the previous comment about not having rods rigged…that should have been done before you left the dock…same goes for the baits.
I have had days when the fish won’t cooporate…but I can also say I have never been skunked on a chartered trip. That’s what the captain is paid for…to put the customer on the fish. He/She should always have a couple of back-up plans in case one approach isn’t working.

My bet is TopGun Charters out of Beaufort, I’ve heard bad stories about this guy and that’s my bet. He has a good website and is a top search charter if you google/yahoo charters in that area. We’ll see if this helps get an answer, that way this guy doesn’t feel like he’s outing him.
