You dont need to chum for bait take your cast net the inshore creeks and sounds are loaded with more bait then i have seen in the past.I use an 8 foot 5/8ths mesh super pro…
Inshore has been on fire man we caught 50 trout a couple of weeks ago and kept 6
dont believe ill have any luck there ill look around in the creeks with the net but as i said a few rows up ive been atleast 10 times inshore this year and have caught a few sharks and other than that ive caught 0

Dang, that’s a fine snapper, considering they are almost extinct. Nice grouper too

You can also get a sibiki and tip them with small pieces of shrimp pull up to any piling and catch pin fish. Man the bait is so thick the other night we were getting ready to go out and had one pop by the boat threw the net on it and it was floating with chocker pogies… One throw at the marina and the baitwell was stuffed. Dont want to run offshore go to the boiler or whitewater or any rip on the sound run a little chum and put out some balloons the spanish are thick.
I find that the harder you work the better your results will be. When we go fishing it is cruel and unusual punishment a full day before, leave as early and go as far as necessary and fish until we have to followed by a day after of cleanup. 3 days of work for 1 day of fishing. Also go out and cruise at low tide check out those oyster banks and docks what might look like a little grass at high tide at low shows you a 4 foot high ledge of oysters at the mouth of a feeder creek do that and you will find your honey hole.
