Italy is having shortages of ventilators, possibly putting them in a position at this point where they have to triage patients and make decisions on who does or doesn’t get treatment.
If we get to that situation here, it will have to be really bad, almost apocalyptic. Our country has plenty of ventilators, and plenty of ICU beds. That doesn’t mean Roper or MUSC or Colleton won’t run out of vents or ICU beds, it’ll mean worse case scenario you may have to be transported to a different hospital.
It’s possible it’ll get that bad. It’s also not likely it’ll get that bad. The article and line of questioning from McCallum are just fear mongering aimed at scaring low information consumers.

does not theoretically calculate the mass distribution of testing protocols that are now supposedly in high gear. The “infected” numbers of COVID-19 are about to rise exponentially. As they do, pay close attention to the “rate” of deaths. As that 2.5% drops, keep in the back of your mind, Obummer declared emergency after 1000 US citizens died. What you are missing is there are prolly many more who have died from it in the US that never got tested and therefore aren’t in the death total…

If Obama had done such a bad job with H1N1 you would think that Drumpf would not have disbanded the NSC pandemic unit, and would have made the CDC a priority instead of cutting funding by 80%… Also, why didn’t congress members self quarantined during the H1N1?
