I grew up in Mt.Pleasant.My first Rockville was 1983.Same amount now as 20+ years ago,I doubt that.
I wouldn’t go as far to call them up-state DNR. She just probably had no boating experience growing up and now has a nice cush government job. The DNR officers who know their stuff probably despise her–she’s a quota hire and she’s not the only one out there. Exhibit A for why experience on the water matters the most, above all else. She’s the threat in a mess like rockville–she could have really gotten someone hurt if all those boats got cut free with a swift current pushing them into a large crowd downstream. The crowd should had pulled her into the water and devoured her like Reginald Denny got it during the LA riots. The rockville crowd is just way too tame nowadays. In the old days, if someone ran over someone’s anchor line at rockville, they had better get out of there real quick to avoid a smackdown.

not according to bolbie…there was not near the crowd nor the type of people back in the 80s at Rockville. If I am correct up till about 3 years ago didn’t someone die every year at rockville? I remember when I was younger they brought a girl to the yacht club who had overdosed and the guy who brought her had a house arrest ancklet.

If a non-law enforcement boater did that they would have been charged with reckless boating, at a minimum! She probably left there and did a courtesy boat inspection on someone who was safely operating their boat. Hypocrisy sux

First of all, I will start by saying that I am a LE officer so I am not biased against LE. I was on the ICW up near Little River last Tues. when a DNR boat with 3 officers flew past me at nearly WOT in a NO WAKE zone. Thinking that something really bad must have happened, I headed in that direction (at way less than WOT). Well, imagine my surprise when arrived at the landing about 10 minutes later, I saw that the “emergency” was them standing around at the landing BSing with some civilians. Their boat was on a trailer and they seemed to be in no hurry to go anywhere at that point. As a LE officer, it pisses me off when other LE officers do stuff like that because all it shows me is they think they can do what they want because of their position. I started to say something and now wish I had, the only reason I didn’t was because my kids were ready to go fishing.
Rockville has been overrun with white trash and the law enforcement it takes to control them. No dat.

there are very few things in this world that piss me off more than abuse of power… unfortunately it is more common than not.
I talked to a DNR Officer today who said he wishes Rockville would just be totally band*.
