Drone off Edisto

Out of curiosity who here is fine with open carry, concealed carry, camera equipped private drones in public space or private space, and government drones doing the same?

Personally I’m ok with all but footage over private lands or public beach’s/pools/bathing suit areas. I’m not a huge fan of the idea of the government flying over for no reason. If they are tracking somebody it’s ok but not random spying. All of the above should require training

Had one do something similar in Adams Creek in Rockville while fishing one day. It showed up, and I thought it was cool. It hung around for 4 or 5 minutes, coming very close to the boat. I got fed up and swatted at it with a push pole and it left.

When coming out of the creek, it came back and followed me down the creek. I then saw the operator on the dock of a rental house on the creek. He had some choice words for my attempt at knocking it out of the sky, so I quietly idled down the creek and out of sight.

Part of me wishes I would have succeeded in knocking it out of the sky, just to prove a point.

Amazing how polite some folks can be,I commend you sir for I would not have been able to be so calm when I heard his rant…

If a drone would come spy on me I would show them something that would burn their eyes out:smiley:

All this drone talk reminded me of some pictures I took back in march 20+ miles off of Florida. I’m guessing its some kind of Navy drone ship. It sits real low in the water and was maybe 45’-55’ long. You can get an idea of its size by the second photo, its being pulled by a tug.

Have any of yall seen anything like this?

did you have a visual on this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadcopter
