Seems there is a law about hoop net mesh size also!! minimum is 1 inch and maximum is 2 inch…Pretty big openings in one inch mesh for shrimp.

Well, I gave it a shot, while I was shrimping from a dock, wasn’t that impressed with the results. I got mostly small shrimp, not even bait worthy, and some periwinkle crabs. Maybe it’ll be better later in the season or maybe I was pulling the net up wrong.
