Finally it has happened again. I immediately checked the bulb, it was soft but not collapsed. I pumped it about four times and the motor revved as I pumped. It didn’t get totally firm but it did firm up and as usual I drove away fine.
To recap, I can take the boat to the ramp and fire it right up. Go to my destination and shut off. Today we actually had lunch at a Marina. Restart, pull away and the motor stumbles. It always happens after the motor is hot and has been shut off for awhile.
Is it losing pressure do to a very small leak? A loose clamp? Or is this a high dollar part known to fail?
Sorry for bumping this up but it seems a few people have a similar issue.
I posted two years ago that my f115 was mimicking yours. I started putting ring free in with every fill up and it hasn’t done it since. Recently switched to ethanol free - have see no ill effects.
It is going to be an ethanol issue. Get your fuel system cleaned including the VST screen, and replace all filters and fuel water separator. Then, never use gasoline with ethanol again.
