HOW FAR NORTH OF 380? LOOKS LIKE OREGON INLET CATCH.

Started out north of the hole…lines in at 745 ten minutes later …WHAM!!! Five on! To our surprise YELLOW FIN! Five more passes 15 more yellow fins…after celebrating with adult beverages we picked lines up and celebrated at Reds.
Hahaha-that’s a good April fools…gotta admit. Ive almost talked myself into believing black fin is as good as YFT but I know I’m lying to myself…at least we have a consistent sail fish bite …
it’s hard to get out there at $4 per gallon as much as the good olds days. Between fuel and the morons manipulating fish regulation policy…Pssstttttt anyway…

Sad part of this post is there are a few boats out there “north of the hole” looking for these Tuna. Heard someone at the marina yesterday discussing their plans for the week and “Tuna north of the hole” was on their agenda
NO a good april fools joke has to be credible and believable.
Its Sad that most of knew this was BS as soon as we saw it.
Those days are gone for SC , but maybe if we all drive big diesal trucks and gas gusslers we can help global warming along and get yellow fin back. or just put some oil rigs off our coast. Or maybe its the other way and we all need chevy volts,Or just go up and give our money to NC. Man those are pretty fish!
I’m guessing Oregon inlet for those pics

They aren’t getting them in the #'s like they used to in OI either. Still better than here. You never know though, there have been other decades where they have gone missing for years on end.
They still catch them south of us around port canaveral, and to the north at the outer banks…looks like someone would catch a few coming north. Its to bad as this use to be a great fishery.

so their travel route between these 2 general areas takes them so far East of the stream we don’t see many reports of them…is that the thinking?
It is a 120 mile run out of port canaveral to the NASA bouy, so it would put them on the far side of the stream from us. The sword boats seem to do ok on the farside as well with bigeye and yellowfin
