Maybe it’s an evil swordfish?

I have multiple rash spots on my leg after the trip. My legs were burning up after I handle the sword at night. Is that from it skins or is it from the water? Anybody knows?

When you handle your sword at night and your skin starts burning I think that’s a sign of a much bigger problem…

Nice Swordfish. Mahi not so bad either.

Sword skin is abrasive like a shark, and will give you a good burn if you allow them to slide across your skin

Nice catch i’m jealous as i was out all night SAT looking for swords as well. I was much farther north however. I set up in 1200 ft but had no bite all night long. We did have some mahi come to our hydro glow light and put three in the box at night a first for me. Another boat set up pretty near us it was the underdog out of murlls inlet. They didn’t catch one either. Again congrat your night was much better than ours.

Good job with the fish!

1200 ft is too shallow over 50% of the time. Yes you can catch them that shallow but there are more in deeper water.
