Fishing with Daddy

Enjoyed you story as usual. There is a spoil island below Grant , FL that has a lot of white pelicans roosting .

I DONT HAVE A BOAT
BUT LOVE TO FISH> HINT

I was always curious about that tower. Most everyone I know calls it a fire tower, but we aren’t from your neck of the woods. So what do we know? I always thought that was an odd place for a fire lookout tower. Just didn’t make sense to me.

-The size of a fish is directly proportional to the time between when it’s lost and the story is told. - Me
-What’s the best eating fish, you ask? I’ve found that for a lot people, its the ones that they happen to be able to catch, clean, and cook. - My Dad
-Until you have loved a dog, part of your soul remains unawakened. Anatole France (paraphrased)
-RIP my “Puppy Dog” 10/15/2004 - 1/14/2013. I’ll never forget him. What a special friend he was.

Its once again good to see the nice pics you share with us all the time penfishn.

That was a old post but so glad y’all like it! Daddy’s hat came from a army surplus store…and yes it’s warm. Now you can get them at a lot of places like burkes, kohls, marshals…momma and …daddy bought me one last Christmas that is made by the “mudd” company…he said he thought it was a fitting brand for me
The horsehead tower as it is called was actually put up for managing and watching the birds in the cape romain refuge…was never a fire tower. It makes me very sad to see it laying down like it got tired and fell over…but no…there are no plans to raise it upright again…and that makes me sad. There’s a hawk and a eagle that can still be seen sitting on it a lot…Los at least it still serves someone…but it makes my heart hurt to look for it on the horizon and not see it standing there.
I have pictures to post fromChristmas and another trip…and hope to post them soon. I got a new lab top and it’s driving me crazy trying to figure out how to post as I start and then it drops it all…
Daddy had surgery two weeks ago and is doing well…and hopefully will be on the water by peeler season. He has crab pot wire and materials to build some new pits …hopefully that will keep him busy until then :). Hope all of you are doing well and staying warm! I’ve been fishing…but not as much as I would like. Still doing rotating shifts every six weeks…and it’s really playing havoc with my life…

miss’n fish’n
