Pod, I checked and everyone is sold out of Tidal Rails, that will fit your Yugo! Guess you will have park it on your front porch. It should float for a little while:question:

Dam**it I was going to get a set tidal rails for my flats boat and hit the nearshore reefs for one last shot… well there is always my favorite pass time… drinking!

Looking at the rain inundation map SCEMD sent out, I will be quite surprised if it is not at least in double digits. My son (cofcfishing) will be doing a cast net demo Sunday from his front porch on Wentworth St. He’ll probably catch something.

If there are casualties, will they be called the Joaquin dead?

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

Maybe a gorgonzola accoutrement would entice him?..

I just set the minnow traps in our street…
I know this is serious but I hate the way some of the stations beat the tribal drums as if to draw disaster in to us. Why can’t they try to be positive…just a little bit?
It’s not just the rain I worry about…it’s the trees that might uproot and fall on stuff from the ground being so saturated.
Y’all be safe.
I have my big pool floats blown up for additional travel methods if needed.
Btw…this rain has already taken the lives of two frogs who got Stuck in my pool skimmer. I had a service for them.

I just copy and paste the good stuff from the NWS…

  • WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT MUCH OF SOUTHEAST
SOUTH CAROLINA TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING AS A COLD FRONT
OFFSHORE INTERACTS WITH MOISTURE STREAMING NORTH FROM HURRICANE
JOAQUIN. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 9 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
THROUGH THE PERIOD WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS POTENTIALLY EXCEEDING
10 INCHES. THIS WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASED RISK FOR FLASH
FLOODING. THE RISK FOR FLOODING ACROSS COASTAL AREAS WILL BE
ESPECIALLY HIGH A FEW HOURS EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE.

  • THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A SIGNIFICANT RAIN EVENT WITH
    WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING.
