Fly Swap Sign Up

So do you guys want any flash flies or not if so how many do I need to tie, I can do them over the next couple of days and get them in the mail if you get me the info!

Sure JMB but to be honest I have already received the flies that will be swapped with the correct numbers so there will be no extra flies for you in return. If you want to send 10 or so I will distrubute them but again everyone tied up the exact amount for the swap and if anyone wants to tie some up now they can but they wont be receiving flies in return. If that interests you I will gladly leave you my mailing info. Sorry should have been more clear in my earlier post.

EDIT JMB I JUST EMAILED YOU THE INFO!

Thanks for the invite but I’ll pass for now.

im trhinkin maybe we could set up a running swap where the first 7 or 10 or 12 or whatever are in the first pool, then the next batch goes in the second pool, etc. that would solve some problems with late flies and missed entries. the downside is somebody would be cleaning the pool all of the time but im thinking the traffic would not be too heavy after an initial flush.

Can i still signup for this? I can tie an olive and white clouser.

He took the bait like a jugbelly redfish on an olive and white clouser.

Sorry the flies are already packaged and on their way.

Were you on the ICW yesterday Fritz up around capers? I think you and I passed and you had mistaken me for somebody you knew. I was in the actioncraft.

Yep that was me, I thought you were Earlytimes at first. Took the dogs for a boat ride yesterday and left the fishing rods at home.

No problem still couldnt figure out why you used circle hooks. I have never gut hooked a red on a flat but hey im just curious maybe theres a reason.

Jeremy, thanks for putting this together. Mine were in the mail box when I got back from NC today.

let me know if the chart/white clousers work for you guys… I’ve had good success with 'em

So much water, So little time

Jeremy,
those circles are very near to the shape that al campbell used to tie his version of the dahlberg diver which is where i started with them. just a tiny bit of lead wire down in the curve makes them fish upright. the directions i have seen for modifying 34007 to make the spoon result in a shape that is very similar but of course doesnt have the circle point. i am a big fan of circles for the self setting feature as much as anything else. the reds definitely turn and run when they feel it on the flat which is neccesary for the circle to be effective. if they dont work for you let me know. i tie more than i flyfish but i havent had a problem hooking up with them.

Hey guys… I did not get my flies into CT due to some work commitments and some stuff going on at home. I apologize to you guys but I also want to send the flies I did tie up to you. If you want one of the flies I tied, a Chart and white Gonzo, e-mail me your mailing address and I will send one to you.
