Went out on a early 70’s Viking today and cruised out for some bottom fishing. I got to say… this was a different experience than my little 25 footer.
Was not a fan of the flybridge, way to much yelling from flybridge to deck. Looks like there is no way around getting atleast an Express after my Dad went on this trip.
Pops is getting old and can’t take the 70 mile runs in a small CC anymore, so his exact words were… “if you dont buy one, i will”. Now my dad won’t even drive my boat while trolling, so pretty sure it was a bluff.
We might talk about going halves on an Express and keep the CC for Midshore trips (Kings).
