After a long battle with the one that got away, Ricky settled down for a nap.

Sorry we missed you on the radio, Skinnee. We tried hailing you too, at one point. It sounds like you were out a few miles deeper than us. We stayed inside of 700 or so all day. Congratz on the stud dolphin and fat box. Sounds like y’all were havin’ to hustle a bit.

Thanks for the trip Lee and to everyone else who made it as enjoyable as it was! I had an excellent time guys and I’m looking forward to more down the road!

I too have many thanks. First to God for a safe and bountifull trip. Second to Lee for myriad reasons. Third to Kut08 for going 30 miles out of his way to pick me up at 2 am.
Ricky gets more thanks for taking me home at 10:30 pm after the long day.

(My truck has a bad alternator that I had to special order. I’m waiting on it now.)

Anyhoo, I had day where I can truly say I was completely satisfied and happy!
I also have to say that it was great to meet some great new folks. :appropriate smilies here:

Will post some pics too.

Umm, you gonna eat that?©

nice job! I want in on the next trip!

Says the guy who landed the only wahoo of the day. Any 'hoo indeed.

I also have pics that will be posted this evening.

Many, many thanks to Lee for welcoming us aboard the Gotcha Covered for the day and to Ricky for assisting with a boat full of offshore novices. I’d thank John for piloting the boat, but since he caught the only wahoo of the day, he really doesn’t need any thanks. Thanks to everyone for an excellent day on the water with a good group of guys.

We got to spend the day on the water, caught a bunch of fish, and made it home safely … in comfort and style at 62.1 miles per hour. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Stay tuned for the picture posts. A few of us seemed to be impersonating Japanese tourists for the day, cameras always at the ready to catch any moment worthy of becoming permanent CF.com record.

A few select pics from yesterday.

Thanks to everyone that helped out and made this day happen, especially Lee.

kut, good finally meeting you at lunch today. you have learned photoblogging 101 from the masta and me thinks your pics were a bit better than his in this thread. maybe 23 only posted a quarter of the ones he took.

hope you changed shoes before cleaning fish this afternoon…

This had to be an awesome trip. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

The more we just complain…the more things stay the same.

■■■■ with all the cameras on board yall must have looked like a boat full of Japanese tourist.

hmmm so it looks like pink and black are the colors this day.

The pics make it look that way, but ye old green and yeller was really the hottest color this day. Black and red and black and pink always do well too, though.

edisto,
both my digi cams broke this week, borrowed my bro’s. remember it’s not the camera, it’s the photographer :stuck_out_tongue:

i will NEVER wear boat shoes, EVER! my crocks shrunk in the trunk of my car due to the sun…

repositing this pic after i tried to fix the color a little bit. When 23sail was bringing this boy in, I had a great shot and perfect light for when he was gettin ready to jump next to the boat, but right as he was about to jump, we had to turn the boat, and bam, right into the bright sunlight… woulda been an awesome pic tho with the perfect light.

Great trip guys, Gotcha, I saw your post too late to sign up, and had to work Wednesday anyway, but it looks like you had a great time! Congrats.
