The captain wanted to squeeze in one more trip before the season closes at midnight tonight. It wasnât warm this weekendâŚ
It wasnât especially calm either, but not badâŚ
It is what it is, and what it is was the last opportunity to put some grouper in the freezer until next June. The bite was awesome in 30â of water.

So do I! Thatâs why I drive to Florida There is really not a lot of difference though, other than the fish are shallow. Where we fish in the gulf we have to run 25-30 miles out to get to 30â of water, here 30 miles out gets us to 100â or more. Same run either way, but itâs warmer in Florida too and I hate cold
Plus I just enjoy fishing with my buddy. Iâd go even if we never caught a fish.
