This would change the following:

(E)	In the Santee River system from October first through June fifteenth, it is unlawful to take or possess a striped bass less than twenty-three inches or greater than twenty-five inches, provided that one striped bass taken or possessed may be greater than <s>forty-one </s> <u>thirty-six</u> inches.

All the rest of the proposed changes were accepted as previously drafted and the measure is up for consideration February 26th

So they are planning to open up Santee to striper in the summer?

No, they just are proposing to extend the summer closing an extra couple of weeks.

If you would like to see the summertime restrictions reduced to only July, August , and September on lake Murray, now is the time to be contacting your senators and representatives to request it… It can happen if enough people ask for it…

Team Shad Up & Fish

If you’ve had fun catching fish on the transom bait, you are welcome…

I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…

Senate has buried this bill. There will be no changes to the Santee Cooper striped bass fishery for this term.
