Saw one or two like that one Bonzo. Then again, I had a friend who was from the rough area around Miami, he came back after break one time with a stab wound and cuts from a knife fight he got in. Didn’t back down from anything. He and Chester McGlockton (RIP) got to mouthing at one another one night in TTT. It went outside and McGlockton beat the poop out of him. Thing is the boy just wouldn’t quit, Ole Chester finally walked off. This old boy jumps up, missing teeth, broken nose, swollen eyes, just a mess and shouts out, I knew you’d quit ya big p----. Chester sounded like Mr. T in Rocky, you a crazy fool.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Needless to say, that was a valuable lesson learned that night!
Fighting is pointless???
Agreed. But to the point of the guy being big or physically imposing… it makes all the difference in the world how people talk to you. And that gets lost on the internet. The keyboard allows people to be bigger than their britches and talk crap when they otherwise wouldn’t.
Are there some 5-3 tough guys, yep. But they are **** out of luck when they run into a true 6-3 tough guy…
Its a respect thing, and in person we all do it/give it to those bigger/tougher than us. Case in point:
My old general forman was 6-0 225 black belt in Brazilain Jiu JitSu, heavy weight cage fighter and MMA instructor that worked with Chuck Lidell and others. On a site full of 900 tough construction workers, he was given 100% respect by every man, 100% respect. Not one person on site would talk smack to him (outside of joking) or call him a DB… and every person behind a keyboard that claims they would talk to him in real life as the do on an anon website is full of crap.
Much of this respect, if not all, gets lost on internet sites.
Rapchick, why don’t you just shut up if you can’t say anything nice…hairy bearded thing that you are.
See, you can say anything if you know your opponent is off down in the Keys and won’t be back until Spring, by which time he will have forgotten about this or I can just stay in the Upstate while he passes through…
Agree with Carl, the oyster roast has been a good thing for cf, lots of old and new faces each year.
I don’t call someone acting differently around someone else just because they think that person can kick their $$$, respect. It is cowardice! Not saying it don’t happen, just call it what it is. That being said, I respect everyone until given a reason not too. I especially give elders, bosses, persons in honorable positions a little more respect without knowing them just because of how I was raised. You kind of make it sound like if anyone on the site had a problem or a dispute with this foreman, that they dared not tell him what they really thought in fear of his prowess. That is not respect, it’s fear. I know we touched on this some time back in the other forum, but if I am having a discussion with someone and we disagree, I have no problem giving my point of view no matter who it is. I think you are talking about these people that don’t know how to express that point of view respectfully and in that, I agree!!
The reason I posted about the weight is there was no reason for the height and weight. It was like he wanted everyone to know he is 6’-3" and 230, which has nothing to do with how well someone can handle words from another.
Fighting is pointless. I can agree with that. Even though in my younger drinking(drunk) years and being from James Island I used to think differently!! lol
You didn’t get banned for doing anything, you got banned because no one liked you.

Yes sir.

We need to get up and do some fishing sometime. We can get the dream team together with sellsfish and the crew. Would be a fun trip and plenty of smart-assness to go around all day.
By the way, if it makes you feel better, I know of at least 2 guys that swing through the Charleston area quite a bit that are only about 135lbs that I would NOT fight:
