PeaPod - I gave up anonymity a long time ago… 'specially after putting big Kayak Fish SC vinyls on the car.

I hate when I slow down to pass a yaker and they continue paddling in the same direction we are heading. Then I have to speed up to get by them and the whole process was pointless. If I am showing you enough courtesy to slow down the least you can do is stop paddling for 4 seconds and let me by. Same thing with cyclists going 22 in a 25 that get kinda pissed when you pass them. Share the water and the road.

If a boater drops to idle spped, courtesy should be to stop paddling and let you idle past. Headed in opposite directions I’ll keep paddling to get out of your way sooner.
If you’re on plane - just keep it on plane. You’re throwing off a smaller wake than you would cutting power. Like I said in an earlier post - give me a wave as you go by.

Holy Cow…2012 is off to a weird start. Fritz and I agree on something.
Although I am not much of a “share the road” kind of guy. I go out of my way to be courteous to cyclist and then they pass me on the right at a stop light/sign and keep going and then I have to pass them again and so on. Very seldom do I see a cyclist stop at a stop sign…I “think” they are supposed to, just like a car. And when traffic is backed up on Rifle Range you see them booging on down the shoulder on the grass, then pull back into the lane at the traffic circle or traffic light. Not saying they all do this, but well wait…I have never seen one stopped in the line of traffic, so I guess it is all of them. Wish Andy would delete this thread so I can quit my ranting.

Hey, I really don’t care who keeps what…reason being is that I can do nothing about it. If it was up to me, redfish would have total gamefish status and no one could keep any for any reason.
I feel badly for some older guys I see at the ramp…they had the best day fishing in 35 years and DNR is there to meet them…20 reds over or under, that is thousands of dollars in fines. I have no idea what the final out come is, but have seen it happen several times.
If we ever meet, remind me to tell you the story of Charles at the gas station 4 years ago…pretty funny story. Almost got my butt whooped because I released 50 reds that day…every year I take him a couple coolers of sheeps, flounder and trout, even toss in a few throat hooked reds from time to time. Nice guy, lives just a mile from me and always appreciates the fish. Axed him once if he wanted to go fishing with me and he was like…NO, I might fall out of the boat and drown.
Sorry, no ranting…pick another subject and see what happens. I did see this morning on the internet that a bowl game scoring record was set last night, figured Climpson whooped ass, boy was I wrong.
