Bear creek is full of perch to I’ve probably cought 300 in there this summer 15-27 ft deep on red worms and crappie minnows!!

The side of the “old mountain” away from Stinking creek used to hold bunches of perch. There were three places between it and Epting’s landing where we could usually limit out in less than an hour. Of course that’s when there was a limit on them. Now, I fish mostly in the elbow area for perch. They seem to be pretty thick on either side of the river up here. Mostly in 21’ - 25’ of water. Just remember, if they are holding on the bottom without baitfish they are almost impossible to detect. They will look like a “bumpy or double” bottom, it doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
