installing fuel booster pump.....??

Guys, we just got a several hundred dollar seminar for free; Chris v.: That tip about clamps puckering is the best tip I have EVER heard on clamps; makes perfect sense. I’ve seen some hoses “roll over the clamp” so bad on other motors, not mine thank God; I just knew they weren’t sealed well. Thanks for sharing that tip, out of common sense I have cut off some ends of hoses just for that reason…THANKS PS: Glad you didn’t go with your first idea, Cummins; my friend? once wanted to DRILL out my jets in my carb[I may be repeating myself here], to get more fuel flow; NEVER go around a fuel problem like that guys.

Mac Daddy my friend… I’ve moved away from the booster pump idea for the time being. After all the good advice I’ve recieved it’ll take me a couple days to implement it.

I think I’ve got it all done. I still don’t like the regular hose clamps though - they tend to loosed up after a while. About all the hose clamps I have had loosed up since I put them on last summer.

I believe i’ll go with the radius zip ties Chris V mentioned - I think a tightening tool to use with them would be the trick. I’ve can’t find much on the radius ties on-line…if anyone knows where to get them let me know.

After working on the fuel lines - filter and primer bulb I had to purge as much air out of the lines as I could. I put the motor of muffs today and it started right up and ran good but it always has done that. Under load and then @ idle spd will tell the story - next week end at the lake.

T&H marine sells the tie wraps, you can alos get them thru any Mercury dealer.

most outboard shops should have the radius zip ties
the tool for tightening and cutting them is about $50 for a good one. I have seen some plastic ones for less
