Italia advice?

I have been to Italy many times as my family is from there.
I would NEVER skip Rome. I have been to about 50 countries and Rome id everything in one city. It is art, romance, religion, history, and food all in one place. I spent 2 entire days in the Forum. Imagine being able to stand on the rock where Mark Anthony gave his speech about Caesar.
Capri is way to crowded, except in winter.
Sicily is wonderful. There is a ferry from Naples. Go to Palermo, the seat of the real Mafia.
Positano on Almalfi coast is wonderful.
If in Florence, I would stay in Fiesole. It looks down on Florence.

Hunting, fishing, and poker are my sports. Work when necessary.

Well, Italy got put on hold. We ended up going back to Kenya again. Had several friends that were going to be there and they needed a couple more hands (for the medical team), so we went back. Flew to Nairobi via Amman, Jordan and spent 2 days touring Petra on the way. Petra is on the updated (as of 2007) list of the Seven Wonders of the World, as well as being a World Heritage site. It was really amazing and has a fascinating history. Read more at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petra.

There are dozens of structures carved out of the rock; here is an example of one:

Still want to visit Italy soon, but not this year. Thanks for all the ■■■■■■■■ from everyone.
