Yes the picture is correct. The false albacore is what ive been catching and throwing back ever since I was a kid. It tastes like normal tuna.

i caught a ton of smaller atlantic bonito mixed in with spanish mackerel a couple months and decided to try one. honestly seared on cast iron it tasted great and i would eat it again. little tunny on the other hand i tried it raw and grilled plain and wasnt a fan of either even without the red meat, but dont remember if it was bled out or not. i have been seeing them spearfishing and shot one for bait not long ago, so maybe i might just shoot another one and make a point to bleed it out and give it another go. the worst thing that happens is i dont like it again and use it as bait as i would have anyways.
