If you want to go for a blended color effect without the mess and hassle of doing the stuff yourself, check out the Blended 3 D EP Fibers by Puglisi. They don’t hold water nearly as bad as the yarns so it makes for some great looking and easy throwing critter patterns!
Casey A would be me.

I changed the unortho crab pattern to the orange shrimp pattern that came in the flybox. I refer to it as THE PRODUCER. It is my GO TO FLY. I hope it treats everyone as well as it has me. Pawleysi thanks again for spearheading this swap. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s patterns.

At last. They are in the mail. been getting jerked at the chiro for a couple days. i went by yday afternoon but the post office stops doing postage related activities at 4. {:O,> i was so proud of figuring out an optimized distribution for those who wanted which back and matching the number in and out until i had them all packed up and found the “extra” nikonjedi crawshrimp. so somebody is short one fly i think. i didnt have the energy to open them all back up. please let me know and i will zip it out to you. i hope y’all enjoyed the swap and will post your recipes on this thread. i will try though i found describing the process more difficult than i thought last time. now if this wind will just lay down we need to do some field trials. thanks to all of you for participating and please give me some ■■■■■■■■ plus or minus on the ones i sent you.

So its 4:00 at the office, I’m tired and ready to go home for the day, thinking about warm weather and fishing when the mail clerk stops by my desk with package…all of ya’ll’s flies. I must say, very cool!!
Same her brother… got home from picking up the kids and there was package on the front door… “Dad it’s form Grandpa!!” the kids yell! it was a big envelope of stuff they left as his house a few weeks ago and then I hear… “Who is Hutch from Pawleys island??” WHOO HOO!!! They all crowded around and wanted to see my new flies… very nice guys very nice. Although I have a few questions on how to fish that fly Toothless… is it a popper? I have never seen anything like it before… very cool. I went out and bought a new fly ox just for these flies and I hope to give them a workout this Monday… taking a day of leave to launch the yak and chase some tail… I’ll let ya know how it turns out if the wind cooperates… Anyone who fishes my fly I would really like a little ■■■■■■■■ good or bad on how it works for ya. My last fly the Gonzo I sent out has been doing pretty good for a couple of y’all… Thansk again PawleysI…

Just got my flies. Everyone did a great job, and they all look very “fishy.” Let me know if you yall have any success on my pattern and I will try and do the same for you.
“The fastest way to a fisherman’s heart is through his fly.”
Thanks for all the great flies guys.
My fly is called a Todds wiggle minnow. It was developed by a guy in Tennessee, I forget what his name was:smiley:. It works like a floating rapala. I would use long slow pulls and if you can manage your flyline it will stay just under the surface as you pull it. ou will see why they call it the wiggle minnow. It will float so if you want to cast into cover you can fish the cover and then let it float above any snags and pick it up. If anyone is intersted in how to tie it I will include a link.
Thanks Toothless… can’t wait to try it out… BTW… GREAT site… I can’t wait to get some time to reely check it out…
