My Son's First Offshore Trip 7/18 (pics added)

You know when you are a true fisherman? When you bog truck down trying to hook up boat…fishing partner cracks skull at landing…can’t catch bait…motor dies…and still catch fish and have a wonderful day…good job for hanging in there…thanks for service of country and raising a fine young man…family men, we are a dying breed.

Paul’s right. Keep those almacos. They eat well and don’t have all the worms that Donkeys have.

Very nice to see a dad taking their son offshore fishing. You are raising a fine young man and teaching him more than you realize. You sir are a good dad!

The smile on that kids face says it all. Looks like he’s hooked for life. Good stuff!

Thanks guys. I’m humbled enough to own a boat, and have kids who want to spend time with me. I know that with 8 and 10 year old sons, and 4 and 6 year old daughters, time where my kids will “want” to be with me is probably getting short. At least until we get through those teen years!! LOL!! I have good kids, and I’m so blessed to pass this on to them, as my father passed on his love of fishing to me.

What a post. I don’t even know you or your son, and I am proud of him! Proud of you for your service, and proud of your wife for hers. God bless strong families.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

So I found my alarm short. I had a wire from the overheat sensor on the left side that was getting smooshed between the cowling and the actual block. The wire sheath and tape are all worn through and the wire itself is all burned up. So a quick splice and I should be good to go.

Awesome, Adam and son!

Thanks Phin. I’m sure liking this bottom fishing thing, now that I’ve starting to get a handle on it.

That was an awesome report! I hope I can take my son and daughter out offshore on a trip like that someday! Fantastic pictures!

The voices in my head said to go spend my money on fishin’ gear and blow off work!

I believe I saw you getting towed back in Shem the other day

I can’t imagine too many people were as unfortunate as we were going up Shem that day. So chances are, it was us. LOL!

Awesome post and glad you found your problem.
