New East Cape build - COMPLETED!

Thanks, I was guessing you should start with a 23"
It should really fly, be sure to post some numbers after you get the motor broken in.

I plan on living forever, so far so good

Egret 167, Etec 130
Wooden Driftboat
Jon Boat & 2 Canoes

Yeah, we considered a few different options and talked to some guys who have tried different props on similar builds. Think we may give up a couple mph at wot with the four blade prop, but hope stability/handling improvements justify the choice. We’ll let u know how it goes.

Boat is done and safely in the driveway after a 6.5 hr drive to Orlando and then back. The guys at East Cape did an outstanding job. Customer service has been first class all the way and the final product sent chills down my spine. The boat is gorgeous and all the little details were done just right. Here are some pics. The last one is a banner they put on their Facebook page and on their website! If you want photos of anything else, let me know.

Minn Kota 80lb ipilot trolling motor

Line X’d forward bulkhead rod holders

Console with Rockford Fosgate speaker, fusion amp, 20amp battery charger, Garmin 740 GPS, iCommand gauge, black Edson wheel with suicide knob, and Line X’d rod holders

V Marine push pole holders

150 Etec, Line X’d poling platform

Power pole pump, fuse block, oil reservoir

Livewell

Another console shot

Console doors with glove box. This is the first boat they’ve done with the glove box and it came out great. There’s a cable that runs from the amp into the glove box to hook up to an iPod/iphone for the tunes.

Looks fantastic. I have many of the same options like the I-Command, Etec, and Ipod thing and you’ll love the 740s. Wish I had the glove box but my console is smaller. Can’t wait to see your speed and rpm numbers after you break it in.

So far I’ve reached 58mph turning about 5000 rpm. Should be a few mph faster once the break in is done and I get a little better tweaking the trim.

Insane!

Awesome looking rig! I really like the Facebook banner. They put that together pretty quick for you guys. Congrats.

You should be in the low 60s easy with a fishing load after your motor is broke in.... the Bravo XS needs to be run high though.

Hey SouthernStyle- just curious which vhp is yours? Is it that sky blue one that they finished a month or two ago??? Beautiful boat if so- one of my favorites that they’ve done. Are u running a bravo xs1 too?

It’s amazing how high you can trim the bravo before it starts to cavitate. My limited experience with it has left me extremely impressed.

Yes this VHP is mine I have several props I mainly run a 24" Bravo XS to fish I was bumping 65 last week in the heat with a full fishing load and one person. YnR pm if you don't have a jackplate on your boat...your Bravo XS will do some amazing things with the hydraulic plate will help a ton fishing and running shallow.I have done a couple of other adjustments I can tell you about.

East Cape made a vid that included our boat if anyone is interested in seeing some running action. So far after a few trips on the boat, I still get a kick out of fishing and running this boat around.

The boat can be seen at 3:40 on the vid.
