Why are you posting a report from a bouy that’s 40nm offshore when y’all weren’t that far out? Big difference in sea conditions.
21 Contender
I would guess because much of the wind/wave energy that far out eventually makes it to shore. More importantly, it’s actual data, not just a forecast which is more prone to error. Almost as prone to as much error as estimating the wind and waves yourself while you are out there.

There are too many variables from 40nm out to the jetties & you won't get an accurate reading. You can listen to weather reports on wx ch.1 & the pilot boat gives a report of they are out
a young man doesn't need a salon and a galley,he needs a boat that hauls ass.my concerns are with comfort these days, not a cheaper ride.
she’s definitely a nice rig, just not for me,I want to sit down on my ride out these days.If we need to get there early, just shove off an hour or so earlier…more time for coffee and Jimmie Deans.
I’d mix in a little darker gray for a good open water camo, if only you could drop the radar profile you would be set for keeping your good numbers, halfway, yours only.
Nice listing. I’ll just have to make do with my crappy 27/30ft Contender. A boat just like that one (may have been the same one) passed me up like I was standing still a few weeks ago. I was doing 45mph. IMO that boat is overpowered.
