That boat at the show was listed at over $160. At that point, I’m looking at an Onslow Bay 27 or a used 3pc boat in the 30’ range.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

AndyB and Bang, Berkeley Outdoors is some of the old Moncks Corner Marine’s former ownership and management, and those guys have sold more Pioneers, over a longer period of time, than anyone else I’d bet. Also got to see Mike, Roy, Henry and Jack who were all there with the boat, and it did seem to have a lot to do with showing at first “at home.”
Next stop for it will be the Miami show I believe.
Macerators are mounted on a bulkhead just behind the rear fold down seat and vertical hatch there.
The price tag would be a lot lower with twin Suzuki 200’s or single 350AP like you’d put on an old Albemarele, btw.
The thing about this hull is that it isn’t going to be their “mass produced model” anytime soon. They are talking about only 2 each going to their best dealers for 2018, and they’ve got plenty already spoken for. What that will mean for customers is resale value will be great. Will be a lot like the 2004 and 2005 197 Sportfish that got bought brand new for 22,500 and that I see for sale all the time right now for in the low 20’s still. You can’t beat that!

Fair enough. We have a Berkeley Outdoors in Columbia (I’m in Lexington) and I was thinking of kicking their tires just to see what they have. Thanks Phin.
A lot of polish for me. I was really hoping Pioneer was going to do something similar to the Egret 290 on this one and offer us a 27’ twin engine fishing machine for a decent price. Too glitzy for me.
