Those frogs look awesome! I also like the carnivorous plant idea. The boss got a Venus fly trap for our son about two weeks ago. It lives on the kitchen counter. Our son hasn’t quite got the whole closing the door behind him concept down, but I haven’t seen a fly in the house since we got that plant!

Joe, it got rinsed several times drained and refilled, we don’t want fish we do want some fresh water shrimp that can get costly, so we will try it with the cheap ones first before getting the cool yellow/blue shrimp we are looking at. and before we did the build we researched silicone vs aquarium silicone pretty hefty and found that 100% silicone is 100% silicone weather its labeled aquarium grade or Silicone II its the same stuff.
Hoof, ya the main reason we started the plants a few years ago were to control the bugs on the deck with out the running the skeeter machine down below, they do a decent job of catching them, the sundews are great for the no-see-ums and catch thousands, the flytraps we have eat a lot but they one can close there traps 2/3 times times be for they have to grow new ones, the pitchers like eating wasps. another fun fact about them is that flytraps are only found in the wild in N&S Carolina also a lot of the sundews.

Wow, that’s awesome! You need to go to petsmart and buy their tree frogs. I had q big one, I can’t recall the species name, but its a green tree frog that’s the size of my hand. One or two of those, a few green anoles and long tailed lizards, and that tank is awesome! Maybe a couple fire bellied toads as well( semi aquatic small frogs). All available at petsmart
thanks yakman! but i don’t want to get petsmart frogs there wild caught frogs and they contain parasites most of the time. looking to get some captive bread milk frogs.

Got some of the plants planted today, still need to get the pitchers i want for the tank but i wont do that till i get the fogger, t5 panel and lid i’ve ordered. figured i get it planted with the moss and other plants to get it growing.
