Crazy story, went giggin’ one night around 12 and saw the TOW BOAT US people towing a sailboat under the maybank bridge. next thing i heard was the mast being ripped off the boat, looked and saw the boat on its side. no one was hurt but the mans wallet

My mistake, could have been another towboat. Some time earlier past summer. Was more worried about the dude inside the sail rollin over. Nope no pics, was ready to go before something else bad happened.
All you guys with radar - I have never had radar but getting ready to add it to my 23’. Can’t you see stuff like that with radar or am I thinking too positive??

I believe this dock is on the Stono River, about 1 mile south from Limehouse bridge, near marker 45. I was fishing there (not catching) last week and noticed the damage to the dock. At low tide, this spot is only 2 feet deep. If anyone thinks they can drive fast at night or in low visibility on the Stono or anywhere else just because they have a radar, they are a fool approaching disaster. Foggy night on the Stono River, I did it a year ago, scariest experience ever.
I would say that is evidence that anything can happen to anybody out there. Maybe he was on the way to a 911 emergency level call?
