Congrats on your trip, this time of year it is a roll of the dice to get good weather here. You found a great spot, the fishing here is off the charts. I have been fishing Boca Chica for 3 + years now, I have the developement right at the entrance to Boca Chica (“Capt Morgan’s Black & Blue Marlin Club”), the property on the water with the “rainbow row” colored houses.
Macho is one of the most experienced capt that I have ever fished with. He has been fishing these waters for over 30 years.
For those who have not fished Panama, it truly is a place to check out, forget Costa Rica and the sailfish, this place has marlin, and grown ones. Our largest yet taped out at 1100 lbs. and the tuna here are BIG, 200 lbs +.
Oh yea, one more thing, we have two cabinas for sale in paridise.
cheers

definitely not winky. he would never dry out a beast like that. unless of course there were some sort of “winnings” involved or it came to the boat dead.
this fish died after a 7 hour fight and came off the hook about 10 feet from the boat. it sank for a moment then came back to the top and was floating on its back. thats how they ended up getting it.

gotcha. never the less a fish of a lifetime.
Great report and it looks like you had one hell of a trip. I spoke with Nauti Hooker and Eastbound and it appears that you are looking to set up another trip to Panama. I live right in the area and have a few others that would be game on heading back. If you are in need of some others, just drop me a line.
Tight Lines…

I would like to fill up the lodge when we go. I have a lot of maybes right now but will try to start pinning people down after the Holidays. I did mention it to Nauti Hooker and would be happy to help coordinate the trip with anyone wanting to go. The more the merrier.
