Never owned a Merc, but have been on a few fast boats and I must say I’m impressed so far. Only have a bout 5 hours on her, but it has gobs of torque. I’ve had the boat up to 64 on the lake with a slight chop. It still has more in it. Need to play around with the plate and maybe some different props. So far seems the gas milage is pretty good to and its not broke in.
Any of these NOT still afloat? Hope not - would be sad - all are fine rides as well.

If your going to play with props then check out the New Mercury Bravo Pro XS 1 27 pitch. It is a four blade but it runs faster then a three blade and the torque teasm up well with the SHO. You should increase your speed by about 5 mph then the standard yamaha vmax ventless. Also buy the vent plugs and play with them to see what makes your boat run the best.
From reds to marlin you got it.

I remember seeing High Cotton for sale a few years back. Did you buy her here off the original owner? Someday when I have more time I’ll get one of those; if i have more money I’ll get the 41!!!

I bought it about 2 1/2 years ago from the original owners.
We enjoy it. It’s not something to take out for a couple hours, but we take it out for a couple days or more. Last fall we went up the ICW to Conway, SC and back. We spent eight days on the boat. We had planned a trip to Savannah, but a medical issue and extreme heat convinced us to postpone the trip. We went out for the Independence Day celebration in North Charleston and spent the night across from the park, then cruised around and anchored and came in the next evening.
I’m sure the 41’ is nice but I suspect as the boat gets bigger, it gets to be more of a hassle and more expense to take it out. If you were to go for a month or two, it would be great (if you could afford it).
